History of the event
From the 2013 description:
Creative Director James Burke-Dunsmore, who has played the role of Jesus in Brighton’s Passion of Christ production since 2011, and on stage and screen nationally and internationally for over 14 years, handed over the challenging role to a talented young professional actor, chosen from dozens of gifted applicants. The 2013 production highlighted Jesus’ role as a teacher and showed the remarkable methods he used to guide his unlikely students in preparation for their ultimate commission to bring the world into the light.
