Soul by the Sea is hosting a fundraiser Ball at the Grand Hotel on the 4th May 2012.
This will help raise funds for the ongoing Soul by the Sea festival, but will also provide a perfect opportunity to get to know some of the team that work behind the scenes on the project.

Easter Sunday 8th April, Brighton will experience a Flash Mob like no other! And YOU can be a part of it!!
Who do we mean by ‘YOU’??
Children’s, teen’s or older people’s groups; choirs, worship teams, brass instrumentalists and percussionists; families and everyone in between can join this Flash Mob!

5:45 – 8:30pm ALL FM required for technical rehearsal (please meet at the foot of Duke’s Mound at the end of Madeira Drive) *Please bring instruments
5:45 ALL Passion Choir required for technical rehearsal (please meet at the foot of Duke’s Mound at the end of Madeira Drive)
*Those FM/Choir who are in the play will be required to stay on-site for the remainder of the Passion rehearsal
Sun 8th April:
8:45 -10:00am – FULL technical rehearsal with ALL Passion Choir & FM at stage site

12:45pm – FM assemble (you will be emailed the location)

Rehearsals have begun for the Passion Play 2012, but there are still some fantastic opportunities for speaking and non-speaking male roles.
Also, anyone wishing to be involved in collective ‘crowd scenes’ are welcome to join rehearsals from 18th March.

2:00pm – 5:00pm Outdoor theatre production of the Passion of Christ, the Easter Story
On Saturday afternoon, the South Oxhey Choir – known to many since the riveting story of their formation by choirmaster Gareth Malone was unveiled by the BBC – will perform what is sure to be a memorable set of gospel hymns and feel good favourite songs. They will be followed by a wide range of musical artists, from rappers to bands to soloists.
For the kids: The Kidz Klub and Kids Count teams will be presenting a dynamic hour for children full of fun, games, drama, music, songs, competitions, prizes and general mayhem (from 11am – 12pm on the Saturday)! Cheeky Monkey has begged us to come along, so he’ll be there too!
Easter Sunday will host the greatly anticipated return of the Passion of Christ open air production and will be staged on the seafront by Madeira Drive. Building on the success of last year’s play, this year’s Passion of Christ production brings together people from an even greater mix of backgrounds and nationalities including local actors and musicians as well as theatre professionals. The production will be a tremendously moving and inspirational experience not to be missed.
This year’s Soul by the Sea event promises to be a fun packed weekend of laughter and celebration and we look forward to seeing you there.
