Our History
Soul by the Sea began life with our local churches coming together to host a debut concert at the Dome Theatre in Brighton.
Since that time Soul by the Sea has gone on to host even bigger and better events! The Soul by the Sea free open air beach festival hosted in 2010 left our city both inspired and buzzing with excitement. It was a great family day out which welcomed everyone to enjoy live music and entertainment provided by local artists.
It was a great family day out with live music and entertainment, welcoming all peoples, just at it continues to do, whatever creed race or nation.
In August of 2011 Soul by the Sea expanded its horizons! The result was the production of The Passion of Christ on Easter Sunday which rocked Brighton with its first open air showing of the Passion Play.
Following the success of the Passion Play, Soul by the Sea organisers are delighted that a merger of these two events is taking place from 6th – 8th April 2012 on Brighton Beach. This three day festival will be a wonderful opportunity for all ages to take in and be involved with what is sure to be a tremendous Easter celebration.
